Three people, including a young girl, are in the hospital after a car accident in the

Kensington section of the city. Police say two vehicles collided with one another.  It

happened Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. on D and Ontario streets. A 3-year-old girl

was taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital. She is currently in extremely critical con-

dition. Two adults were also taken to the hospital. No word yet on their conditions.

Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash.

Updated at 5:56 p.m. ET: An 8-year-old girl was critically wounded Wednesday in a

shooting incident at an elementary school in Bremerton, Wash., local media reported.

The school district said it appeared the shooting was an accident.  Armin Jahr Elemen-

tary School in Bremerton, about 15 miles west of Seattle, was just letting out for the

day when the victim, a girl in the third grade, was shot about 1:29 p.m. local time

(4:290 p.m. ET), Bremerton police said. Police said it was too early to speculate, but a

spokeswoman for the school district told NBC station KING of Seattle that the shooting

appeared to have been an accident.  ABC station KOMO of Seattle reported that the

girl, whose name wasn’t released, was in critical condition with a gunshot wound in

the stomach. It said her grandmother called the station to ask people to pray for her

granddaughter.  The victim was transported by air ambulance to Harborview trauma

center in Seattle.  Bremerton police Lt. Peter Fisher said the gun used in the shooting

had been recovered and that a second student, believed to have been the shooter, was

being held for questioning. The school district said student is a 9-year-old in the

third grade.

Current and former Lower Merion School District students have been seen allegedly

drinking alcohol and using drugs in YouTube videos posted online, district officials

told parents this week.  The alleged underage drinking and drug use was on a You-

Tube video series called “I’m Shmacked.” The Twitter and Facebook pages promoting

the movie called “I’m Shmacked” describe the project as a film “documenting the

experience of a weekend at 20 of the best and biggest universities around the United

States intertwined with a book and a Web site being pitched to major publishers

and studios.”  Harriton High School Principal Sean Hughes sent a letter home to par-

ents this week alerting them to the fact that one of these videos, which he says is no

longer online, included footage of LMSD high school students.  “The activities depicted

in the video are reprehensible and cause for great concern,” Hughes writes. “They in-

clude binge drinking, marijuana use, substance-induced violence and several danger-

ous situations involving drugs and alcohol in vehicles.” According to Hughes the film

appears to have been recorded last summer. He says that the district is individually

notifying the parents of the students in the video, and said that officials shared the

video with police.  Hughes promises that in the cases where the district has power

and authority, they will use it against the guilty students. “Students that participate

in school sports or other competitive activities may face a team suspension even if

they haven’t had a sip of beer, but are found to have been ‘in the room’ at a party

where alcohol is served,” Hughes writes. “On the line are college acceptances, scholar-

ships and personal reputation. It’s simply not worth the risk.” Though Hughes says

the “I’m Shmacked” video of the Lower Merion students is no longer online, videos

of local college students at Temple University and Penn State drinking and taking

illegal drugs is still available online.

A man was hit by a train in Brooklawn, N.J. Wednesday morning, and became trapped

under the train, authorities say.  The accident happened at about 11 a.m. at U.S. Route

130 and Delsea Drive, according to Camden County authorities.  Emergency medical

officials helped free the man from under the train and he was sent to Cooper University

Medical Hospital.  Officials say that the man’s injuries are not fatal.  Further informa-

In her new VOGUE feature, which appears in the upcoming March issue focused

on “showing her true colors,” she admits to previously spending $50,000 a month

on designer shoes and bags.

“Giuseppe, Versace, YSL, and Fendi shoes,” she reveals. “I bought tons of Vuitton

bags. When you’re a young girl from Queens, you’re going to stock up on those

bags.”

She also spoke about how she wants to influence young girls properly. “The Nicki

Minaj girl is a fun, artsy girl who can become a fierce force to be reckoned with on

Wall Street!” she explains. “They hang on my every word, so I tell them, go to

school, be ambitious. The worst position is to be financially dependent on the

man.”
