Bobbi Kristina Brown and close family friend Nick Gordon spent Wednesday night, the eve
of Whitney Houston’s 49th birthday, getting the late pop star’s initials tattooed on their
wrists. Brown announced their plans via Twitter Wednesday afternoon. “On the way with
MYbooboo @nickgordon
heading2 #Inksomnia for our TATTSSS !this is for you mommy
(: we love you, happybirthday Ourlady XXo,” she wrote.
Two hours later, Brown posted an Instagram picture of their matching tattoos, Houston’s
initials, W H, surrounded by four doves. “Tat tat tatted YURP..

Jason King, manager of the Inksomnia location in Alpharetta, Georgia, said Brown and
Gordon arrived to their site around 8 p.m. Wednesday. Inksomnia artist Shane Sudduth
designed the artwork and applied it to Gordon. Store owner Mike Cummings tattooed
Brown. King said the 20-30 minute process was an emotional experience. “There were
some ups and downs. She was upset, but very happy with the tattoo,” he said. King said
Brown had some piercings done at Inksomnia in the past. The shop has also worked with
rap artist and producer T-Pain. Brown has received support from her Twitter followers.
Twitter user iceladyplayer1 said she is inspired by Brown’s gesture. “the tat is cute my
mom passed away I’m feelin it make me wanna tat my mom name.” Nan727md added,
“Ur tat is beautiful. I’ll say a big pray[er] for u at midnight stay strong.”
