Police made a gruesome discovery in a third floor apartment in South Philadelphia’s Bella
Vista neighborhood just after midnight. Officers responded to a 911 call to the apartment
on 8th and Christian Sts. and found a 30-year-old man bloody, face down on the floor of his
bedroom, police told NBC10’s Tim Furlong. Investigators say that there was a large amount
of blood on the wall as well as the floor around the victim. “There’s also signs of a struggle
because a flat-screen TV, a table and other furniture are flipped over,” Chief Inspector Scott
Small said. A police source identified the victim as Michael J. Fox. Fox died from blunt force
trauma to the head, according to police. He was last seen alive at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Investi-
gators are questioning one of the victim’s two roommates. They are looking for the other.
