GERMANTOWN – July 30, 2011 – Police believe a shooting in Germantown may be
the result of road rage. Two gunmen got out of a rented SUV and shot the driver of
a Pontiac. Police responded to the gunfire at Wakefield and Garfield Avenues,
around 1:50 Saturday morning. When officers arrived, the suspect had already
fled on foot. The victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police have
not identified who they are looking for, and what may have motivated the shooting.
