Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” Breaks New Record

Young Money emcee Nicki Minaj has broken yet another record.  As previously

reported Minaj was credited with having the first single by a female emcee to top

Billboard’s “Rap Songs” category in over seven years with “Your Love.”  Following

that she made Billboard history after being announced as the first female rapper

to have 7 entries on the “Hot 100.”  The record breaking streak continues for Nicki

now that her Pink Friday album has become the female rap album with the most

consecutive weeks in the Top 10.  Nicki quickly broke the news to her followers on

Twitters Wednesday saying,  “Now 14 weeks ; PINK FRIDAY BREAKS the RECORD for

MOST CONSECUTIVE weeks in the TOP 10 by a female rap album on Billboard’s 200.”
